Sep 2 las Vargas NV I got out of truck in flagstaff. I met Kerry in Macdonald , he has van , bed table office , different city tempture. Daytime in mountain . He give a tour in flagstaff. Drive me back in 40 . Kerry speaks his action is fast , his name reminded me john Kerry campaign with Goergia w. bush . I trslated the book " the candidate . " We sat out side the table , he bought a cup of orange juice. He took the Atlanta map. Asked me where I have been. I asked what job he do, he said he dies not work, he has too much money. Peter picked me up in this perfect spot. He drove a beautiful car to give his nephew in California , he treat me beaks fast and $20, he is truck driver, he admire backpack traveler . He turned to south in Kingman. I take 95 north . It was very hot. Chris stopped , he was going to las vagas. Eat lunch, a tour, hotel south point . Peter said his wife alway need someone with her, even go yo store shopping. She does two jobs. He has 6 daughters,that reminded me, a man picked me up two or three times, during I worked in Safeway , he told me he picked all femal hitchhikers because he has 7 daughters. He saw a man walk every day forward and back. He wanted to give his bicycle to him, his wife did. Not agree. He will sell it, If I take you home, my wife will not agree, we don't know him. That reminded me of Tom 's wife, Tom was my driver and my boss in Nevato . Pete bought me breakfast and gave me $20. Peter dropped me in Kingman . When I got out car , I found the weather was very hot. The light was very bright. I prayed God send my driver quickly. God is good. A red truck stooped . The driver's name is Chris . This is special name for me. He drove a red truck, the weather was very hot. The car air conditioner does not work well. I could feel outside hot and dry. I was tired because of last night in truck. Chris introduced the view along the road. He is basically calm person. His face is calm, his voice is calm. He is just for vacation to Las Vegas, I asked him to give me a tour when we arrive in Las Vesgas. He did not say " no" so I guessed he said " yes" . He always said " beautiful desert ." another driver pater always say " ugly desert." certainly they drive on different desert . But I think not the desert different , it is their eyes are different. We arrived in Las Vegas around 2:30pm. We drove through a time zone. So we gained an hour. Now I am in same time zone as California. If I call Sean , I don't need think about time difference. Las Vegas is similar Disney land, every where is fun and busy. Two eyes are not enough for seeing Las Vesgas , I felt the weather is similar Pheonix Arizana. I thought it is bigger than Pheonix , but Chris Absolutely think Pheonix is huge. This was a drive through tour. I was tired and the weather was hot. So I was lucky to get a drive through tour. Chris is familiar here. He offered me lunch, we went a restaurant, there were many people on line. So Christ decided to go other place. This is big casino place, you can eat and play in 24 hours. I was really amazed by that so many people love game. After lunch , Chris asked if I want to stay his hotel. I was just thought to ask him. So I got a place to sleep tonight. This is the 7 th time that I stayed in hotel during this 4 months traveling. 3 times by myself, 4 times with my hosts. The hotel name is South Point. the whole building is pink, pretty bright color. After check in , we got in room on 8 floors. I haven't slept so high for many years. Here is basically same as the last place, we ate lunch there. You can eat, sleep , play in 24 hours. Casino machines are everywhere. I noticed some old women were working hard on the machines. I thought I might be good at that. I was only one time I played majiang it was in shamxi, my boyfriend 's home. He and his sisters and brothers in law played , they asked me to join in. I said I don't know how to do. Do they just play , I watched on side. After several turns, . He lost money. I said to him, you go back, let me take your place. I immediately started to win. When I watch them. I found the regulation . So i could won them even I had never played this game before. I think I have not enough patience to learn casino. Flute and violin and stock market will cost my most time. I did not plan to study casino. In fact I don't about casino, I think it is just a game for fun. Check Bible said about casino . As a Christian , what is my attitude . The first I and Sean went to casino , i took a photo of the building , did not take photo of me with the building , I thought I am christian , I don't want other people know I went to casino . I thought of the movie title " du Wang " Hongkong movie, king of gambling . After we came in room, I said I sleep on couch. " it's up to you". Chris responded. That meant if I want to sleep on bed that 's ok for him. The bed is king size. It is plenty space for two persons in regular weight. Chris did not invite me to share bed. I slept well on couch. I laughed aloudly when I lay on couch . "it's too good". After 18 hours on truck,after went through 300 miles desert, laydown on couch in airconditioner room . It is too good. I slep well that not only because I was tired, also because my host's age and looking can keep my heart far from sin. Maybe mine is same for my hosts. I did not take shower or face work , simply fall into sleep. Chris went out and went back. Thank God for having me a place for tonight. The wi fi did not work on my iPod . So I went to lobby to use Internet . It still did not work . I saw a man was using computer on a seat , I went to ask him to help me to check the map, so I may know the distance and the road I will go tomorrow. He said my wife is waiting for me. I thought he is here, where is his wife waiting ? He must mean the chat room online . I insisted , finally he push the computer to me, " you can use it" . He made me tired . I thanked him . And went to the young man next him. This one did not say anything , just started to search on computer. I write down the information on paper. And then wrote my home address and telphone and email, I told him, if you go California , this is my address, eat , sleep all are no problems. Some help maybe small, but no any friendship is too small.
