June 9 , Hastings Nebraska After 1000 miles traveling and sleeping in truck two nights, I felt tired and felt travel too rush , I was thing slow down a little bit . Morning i got out truck. I was so thankful to my driver Redge, it was long ride, I liked to see such beautiful great land. Redge is very nice person. I asked him did Anyone sleep in truck with him before . He said only his wife did. No other hitchhike. I am the first one. Felt my leg dianjiao , redge leg or foot walk ramble , effection to me . When I was in Wausa I walked a while , felt much better , Morning I got out truck . I got a ride to shopping center, I stay in. A starbucks a while to use wifi . I played flute a while , two big men went out to let me go, I thought why two big men do this little thing , one person enough . I got a ride to downtown. It was very windy. I sat on the grass under the tree next to a lake . I played flute there. Just for a feeling. I was thinking to go to shelter in Hastings. The people in Grand island are really nice, hitchkhiking or asking for a ride is very easy thing. Even a Mexican lady almost cannot speak English can give me ride. and then A big truck stopped , after i got in, the driver told , it was he told me "give her a ride" , a handsome young man sit on the bed. I always think good looking people had tender heart. The truck went to truck stop. 3 vehicle s stooped for me , one of them was big truck, they don't go to Hastings . I thought I should take the ride doesnt how far they go. Very soon the forth car stooped, he delivered me to the door. I felt pretty amazing, it was so easy for hitchhiking in grand island. Almost same as Mendocino or fort Bragg. The shelter is so good . It is not a 5 star hotel. But it maybe better than many people 's home. I have two roommates . They helped prepare food , the dinner surprised me, there were too much food in a big dinning room,similar a party. Hot food , Salad ,desert , all many kinds . but not many people to eat. There was a black family , a mother and 8 kids in a table . I thought if children are God's blessing, she is blessed with such for fortune, and enjoy so much so good food For free. I guess she must be very thankful to God. A maxing thing was , 7:30pm I heart the speaker broadcast " snake time" . I was super full. But I was curious what snake . Mary said there mabe watermelon. But no watermelon. So I started to miss watermelon now . They put my name on the door. With my two roommates names together . It looks like this is my dormitory. There is bathroom inside. I did Langtry my cloth. I am cleaner than I was at home.
