August 13 , Baltimore. Ben told me we will leave at 7 am last night. So I wake up early . Ben drove me to the 95 south entrance. A black young man gave a ride to Wilmington, his name is George. I guess he just about teenager. I was thinking, To be a man is God 's blessing. George is so young in age so small in physical, but he can give me a ride and bought lunch for me. Three wise men kneel down to worship a infant laying in straw. They can do that because they are " wise" . If a woman is wise , she would like to respect all men as head, include teenage young men. I have been always thanking God for such wisdom He gave me: I know I am small , I know men are my head. I looked around in town , played flute a while , made $8. I was 12 am, I started to move the direction to Baltimore. I found the entrance 95 South. A police car stops before me. I am not new for police car. So I smiled at them before they questioned me. Two young men in car, they asked me " what are you doing?" " I am trying to get to Baltimore ." they were surprised I got her from california by hitchhiking. They told me " someone called" , " it 's illegal" . I don't know hitchhiking is illegal in Delaware. If they say so . That's so. I said " I take bus." " do you know bus station?" they told me which direction I should go. They are so nice young men. I even thought I might asked them to give me a ride, drive me out of Delaware, so I will become " legal" hitchhiker. I walked to the McDonald , this morning. I was there to eat lunch George bought for me. I used iPod to check the map, I found another entrance is closer and better. I walk there. A car stopped, the driver asked if I could share gas fee. " No" I answered . He felt lost about this answer. He drove away. But he stopped and pulled back, waved me. I was happy he changed the mind and would like to give me ride for free. His name is Nick. I saw his card hanging on his neck, he was working , his job is to deliver documents in PNC bank. Along the road he drops and picks document from bank to bank in different towns. That was a was a wonderful tour for me, Nick is nice , he introduced to me. He dropped a town. He told me to take 40 rout, there are restauntant , motels . Along the road. After I ate in McDonald , I kept going my way.a closed van made U turn to stopped before me, it reminded me one more time, one of my drivers told me, don't take ride of closed van , because you don't know what is inside. I got in car , the driver's looking is pretty weird. His face had some different expression when he speaks. He was going another direction, he told me he had already passed by me one time. I recalled Christopher said someone working up the nervous. James in Providence passed by me tree times, and then asked me for "massage". If a car passed by me one time , and second time passed me and made turn to pick me up, was that to work up on nerve ? Anyway , i was inside car now. He told me he has a Chinese wife. He showed me a Blum of photos. Indeed there are several photos of a Asian woman. But i guessed that might be his imagination to have a chinese wife when he saw me. Because she looks pretty young in the photos. He said they are married 30 years. if that are " recent" photos, that are too young for a 50 years old women. another thing, when I asked his wife's name, he told me different names two times. If he has not two Chinese wives in reality, he might be telling a fairy tale in random mind. He drive me pass the bridge. he stopped car , before I was ready to got out, he gave his cheek to ask for a kiss, I put a kiss on there. After I got out of car, I thought about that. That was much better than those who tried to grab here or there from time to time. After long wait, a couple gave me a ride to next town. After long wait, i saw a Asian lady went out a office, I asked her to give me a ride. Luckily, she promised. This is not easy for a woman. She drive me 8 miles. Before she turned to her home direction, he dropped me at down hill. I walked back up to the top of the hill. There are not many human buildings within my sight. Around me all are trees. The sun was getting to the earth. I felt a bit nervous, I prayed hardly while I was thinking if I could not get ride before sunset, I should walk to down hill and then up hill , to check what is that house in the far way. Or I may look for where is the town, that woman lives, it should be not too far. God is good. A struck stopped. He is friendly man , he drive me to the , he dropped me at gas station. he refused to take me to the my host address. This is east coast. I was already so aprreciate for a getting a ride. I have no any right to ask extra miles, or door to door service. While I was thumbing beside the road. Alison is student , from Mali. I was so happy a real African drove me. Three girls made U turn , and stopped behind me at gas station. They talked to me, I showed them the address I am going to go. I suggested me to take bus.because this area is too dangerous. I asked to have me a ride, that's too far. they were going another place. So collected $3 to handle them to me. Let me to talks bus. While we were talking , a bus came. I was ready to run to catch it. But the bus did not stopped at the bus stop. I found the reason was that no one was at the stop, so the bus simply drove away. I took the bag and stood at the bus stop. The three girls car right at the traffic light, the girl at the back seat pointed the bench:" sit on the bench , the bus will know you are waiting. Don't hitch hike" I was same as mom's good girl, sat on the bench. And then I saw a hand waving out of window of a car . I though it might wave to me. But I found child ran to it cross street . I also thought it is " dangerous " hitchhiking in this area , especially some one offered the ride. And I have $3 for the bus, the three girls gave me . So I just say there , pretended that I did not see it . The driver got out of car , waved to me. I guessed he was the black young man who refused to take me because he is that ' too far , he suggested me to take bus , transffered train. I took bag and cross the intersection to him. He said he will take me there.
