协革尔寺的和尚 the monks in Shegar Monastery
很友好很善良，friendly and kindly
每一张脸的笑容都象阳光 smile on every face is like sunshine
他们不许唱歌 不许跳舞，they are forbidden to sing and dance
更不许追求姑娘 more forbidden to court girls
莫非经书里面真的有金屋藏？is it real that books hide gold
才会叫这些帅小伙子 断绝了人间欲望 that makes these handsome boys cut off the desire for this world
有一天释迦牟尼微服来私访，one day,Sakyamuni comes incognito
他送给寺里的和尚每人一块糖，he gives one monk one candy
当甜蜜汁液从嘴 流到胃囊，when sweet juice flows from mouth into stomach
谁的心儿都翻起了波浪，whose heart stirs up waves
他们在想：everyone is thinking
噢，糖，Oh, candy
还比青稞酒甜，sweeter than barley wine
比糌粑还香，more fragrant than Tsamba
真叫人舒服得嗓子发痒想歌唱，make me so comfortable as that throat tickles and want to sing
两腿着慌要跳锅庄，two legs become flustered and want to step Bonfire Dance
想去拥抱漂亮姑娘，want to hold a beautiful girl
跟她翻河倒江淹没在大海洋 together with her turn over river and sink into ocean
释迦牟尼来到活佛下榻的地方，Sakyamuni goes to the room of the living buddha
他把所有的糖全都奉上，he presents all candies
表达心中的信仰。to express the respect and belief in his heart
活佛画了一张饼送给释迦牟尼，the living buddha draws a cake to Sakyamuni
解他旅途风霜中碌碌饥肠。allay his hunger in hardships of journey
活佛不吃糖，the living buddha does not eat candies
他说，你还是给钱吧，he says, the better you give money
北京那边说人民币不贬值，Beijing said RMB does not depreciate
美元可能会膨胀。dollar will possibly inflate
